"FEATHERS AND TALES OF THE TABLE MOUNTAINS"
When: April 4th 7:00 P.M.
Where: America Mountaineering Center Washington & 10th Street Golden
The Table Mountains Conservation Fund and Golden Landmarks Association are proud to offer the “Feathers and Tales of the Table Mountains” program on Friday, April 4th at 7:00 p.m. at the American Mountaineering Center in Golden. Local naturalist Mike Foster will present a slide show of birds currently found on the Table Mountains and in the Golden area, complete with a checklist to help with the identification of these beautiful winged creatures.
Mary Ramstetter, noted Golden author, will join the program by moderating a panel discussion of historic tales of the local area. The panel members -- Harry Artemis, Ronald Betting, Leon Batman, Don Dillon, Don Jerome, Janice Launch and Gerri Lewis -- will share their stories of growing up in Golden, and what the Table Mountains have meant to their experiences. The slide show will include pictures of Golden from the late 1800s to the mid-1950s, and the public is encouraged to bring their questions about Golden for this informative panel!
Come join the Table Mountains Conservation Fund and Golden Landmarks Association at this FREE event at the AMC, located at 10th Street and Washington Avenue in Golden. Refreshments will be served at a reception from 6:30 to 7:00, in support of the protection and preservation of Golden history, including its signature landmarks, North and South Table Mountains.
